Why A50 Exists

We built this for women the fitness industry forgot.

Jason and Rachel Zawodniak are South Hills residents and the two people behind A50 Personal Training.

Early in his career, Jason trained clients of all ages. But he kept noticing the same thing — women over 50 were underserved everywhere they turned. Big gyms were designed for younger bodies. Group classes moved too fast. And most personal trainers simply did not know how to work with women at this stage of life.

His clients over 50 told him the same stories over and over. They felt out of place. They were not sure what to do. And they were not getting the results they deserved.

Jason's approach had always been joint-friendly and personalized — and women over 50 were naturally drawn to it. So he asked them directly: "If I opened a studio just for you, would you come?"

They said yes.

Jason and Rachel launched A50 — the South Hills' first and only personal training studio built exclusively for women over 50. Today, A50 helps women live an active, meaningful life by giving them the strength and flexibility they need to feel their best.

    No two women are the same — and no two programs at A50 are the same. Every session is built around your body, your history, and your specific goals. You will never be handed a generic workout and told to figure it out.

  • Progress Over Perfection

    You do not need to be ready. You just need to show up. We do not expect perfection — we expect progress. Every session, every week, you are building something real. And we celebrate every step of it.

  • Safe Exercises Only

    Joint-friendly is not the same as easy. Every exercise we use is chosen because it challenges you in the right way — without putting your knees, hips, or shoulders at risk. Smart training gets better results, not reckless training.

  • The Right Community

    Every woman at A50 is at the same stage of life, dealing with the same things, and working toward the same kinds of goals. That shared experience creates something you will not find at a big gym — a room full of people who are genuinely rooting for you.

Our studio is small, clean, and calm. There are no crowds, no waiting for equipment, and no one judging you. Just you, your trainer, and the work.

We intentionally limit our total number of clients to 95 so that every woman gets the attention she deserves. Your trainer will know your name, your goals, and your history before you walk in the door.

Many of our clients tell us that A50 is the first place they have ever felt truly comfortable exercising. That is not an accident — it is by design.
